I cant sleep tonight
Thoughts like waves of chaos mixed with meaning
Some days you cant even catch a breath
I'm scared to drift asleep
Haunted by the bodies still leaning
On the last ounce of sanity I've left
The vastness of the land
When I'm sitting on Mt Zion
The waves against the rock
from the top of Sunset Cliffs
The sound of a seaplane's engine
Rising over Vancouver's harbor
The smell of you behind me
And your hands tangled in my hair
You ask the things I want
It sounds just like a joke
I touch them for a moment
But they're never really mine
Take the time to clear my mind
But it never really gets there
Thoughts like waves of chaos mixed with meaning
Some days you cant even catch a breath
I'm scared to drift asleep
Haunted by the bodies still leaning
On the last ounce of sanity I've left
The vastness of the land
When I'm sitting on Mt Zion
The waves against the rock
from the top of Sunset Cliffs
The sound of a seaplane's engine
Rising over Vancouver's harbor
The smell of you behind me
And your hands tangled in my hair
You ask the things I want
It sounds just like a joke
I touch them for a moment
But they're never really mine
Take the time to clear my mind
But it never really gets there
